Diploma in Multimedia

OVERVIEW
The Diploma in Multimedia programme is designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to develop effective industry standard multimedia applications. The course introduces students to a wide range of professional multimedia development packages for multimedia development, web development, 3D animation, special effects, digital audio and digital video. Besides technical skills, students will be guided to effectively engage the user/audience of their product using a blend of various forms of media and platforms. Students will have the opportunity to design and develop effective multimedia systems using new and established techniques and software tools. A strong emphasis will be placed on students gaining the necessary skills to develop cutting edge multimedia applications and content.

RECOGNITION
The Diploma in Multimedia (A5499) is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

OBJECTIVES

    LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT
    Students will be taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials and practical workshops. We have a well-equipped, modern multimedia laboratory. Our students are provided with hands-on training and commercial exposure under the watchful eye of an experienced supervisor. Students will be continuously assessed through a combination of individual and group projects, case studies, assignments and end-of-module examination.

    CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
    Graduates will acquire the skills and knowlege to enter employment in a wide range of multimedia related fields including educational software designer, entertainment package developer, web designer, multimedia programmer, computer animator, 3D modeller, visualisers, concept designer and creative specialist.
