Medical Camp

HELPING THE POOR, THE SICK AND THE NEEDY

Petaling Jaya, Selangor – October 25, 2009 — Life College participated in a free health screening Medical Camp for the residents of Angsana Flats USJ 1, which was jointly organized by Pejabat ADUN Subang Jaya, Manipal Alumni, Selangor State Health Department and HC Connections.

Life College supported this CSR project by organizing a Children Super Fun Day for the poor and under privilege children of Angsana Flats. This event was well received by the residents of Angsana Flats. An approximate 400 children had a rousing time that day while simultaneously, about 1000 adults received free medical aid, dental treatment and medical screening. Humanitarian aid was also given to poor families  in the form of food and basic necessities.

An exciting programme was drawn up to entertain and cater to the energetic and robustness of the young children for the Fun Day. There were games, songs, dances, colouring contest, magic show, clowns, performances and other activities. This event ran successfully because of the unwavering support received from all the volunteers comprising Life College staff and students, City Care and the Indonesian Students Centre Fellowship.

With the kind contribution of corporate sponsors – Digimerge, Jelly and Frenz, Giant, Nestle Ice Cream, Protect Print and Permanis – Life College was also able to provide food, snacks, drinks, entertainment, stationary necessities & attractive prizes  as the highlight of the event.

Life College is proud to have played a role in making a difference in the children’s lives. Helping to brighten up the smiles on those young faces, touching their lives and sharing just a little bit of happiness with these children has truly been an extraordinary day for everyone involved; one that has changed their own lives and left an imprint in their hearts forever.
